Marler Surveying Services

Public or Private Locating Service

Description: Advanced locating technology GPR (ground penetrating radar) using electromagnetic waves sent to the ground to reflect any type of conductive material, structure or utility, then sent back to our GPR system.

What we do: We will map your predetermined area, electronically using our GPR technical mapping and physically to create ground markings.

What we find: We locate private or public utilities, telecommunications, electricity, water, sewer, gas, copper, aluminum, iron to determine if and where there are underground utilities. Call us to locate for you to avoid damage and reduce costs on future planning and construction.

Boundary
Survey

A survey that establishes boundaries of a parcel using its legal description, which typically involves the setting or restoration of monuments or markers at the corners or along the lines of the parcel, often in the form of iron rods, pipes or concrete monuments in the ground, or nails set in concrete or asphalt.

Surveyors Real
Property Report (SRPR)

A Surveyors Real Property Report (“SRPR”) or “Spot Survey is a drawing of a piece of property showing the lot lines and the approximate location of any improvements. The surveyor does not go out and physically locate the property corners.

ALTA / ACSM Land Title Survey

A survey type which incorporates elements of the boundary survey, mortgage survey and topographic survey which has been proposed by the American Land Title Association and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping.

Topographic
Survey

A survey that measures the elevation of points on a particular piece of land, and presents them as contour lines visible on a plot.

Construction
Staking

A process used by surveyors which place survey stakes to provide horizontal and vertical definition of buildings, roads, utility lines, plantings and site gradings. The construction stakes are often offset and placed out of the way of the construction itself.

Survey

Comprised of all survey operations required for design and construction of engineering works such as, but not limited to, highways, pipelines, canals, railroads, powerlines and more.

Easement
Exhibits

Easement surveys will reveal any denoting right-of-way over another persons land. Easements are often referred to as a "Right-of-way" and are commonly used for energy and municipals. Most common easements reveal Right-of-ways such as, roads, walkways, utilites, right to park, right to light and so on.

FEMA Elevation Certificates

An important administration tool of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). FEMA Elevation Certificates provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to determine the proper insurance premium rate, and to support a request for a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) or Letter of Map Revision based on fill (LOMR-F). The Elevation Certificate is required in order to properly rate post-FIRM buildings.

A Flood Letter is based on information from the FEMA flood map.

Subdivision
Plats

A survey type map drawn to scale, showing the divisions of a single piece of property. This survey often shows the distance bearing between section corners and sometimes include Topographic or Vegitation information.
